songs and lamentations from the lost and doomed
|
Out here is the
forest spectral fragrances devour the meek
the hallowness of these gleaming resignations will wash up on the shore to let the seagull fight over and pick after, just wait til these sunbursts begin to droop and all the beauty is mopped away til it's exposed for what it truly is,
human nature,
ugliness in dawns ebony closet,
gravity has been banished, everythin else is lost in between and continually dancing,
new age visionaries roast in their apathy ovens,
the ability to drown out reality is now born into the young, letting it fester like a cancerous cyst in the womb of generation:Oblivion.
by Adam Miller 1999
This guy is one poet who deserves recognition (and money!) but perhaps I'm biased, since he's my love.

The Disillusionary's Guide to Books, Music & Movies
|
Books to Read:
-ANY Tom Robbins novel, especially Another Roadside Attraction and Even Cowgirls get the Blues
-Any and all of Hunter S. Thompson's AMAZING body of work. His scathing wit and loathful criticisms ring true today!
-Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
-The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley...(a brilliant work on Arthurian legend told from the feminine perspective, i.e. Morgan le Fey)
-Yertle the Turtle, The Sneetches and The Butter Battle Book, by Dr. Seuss
Music: Although I will tolerate most types, my blood curdles listening to rap, country and the Backstreet Boys-genre of music.
Natalie Merchant, Tori Amos, Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan, Beck, Rachmaninoff, Paul Simon, Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, Elliot Smith, Loreena McKennitt, Dar Williams, Ani diFranco, The Doors, Led Zeppelin and on and on...
